Carleton Place is HockeyVille 2013! See you next year...On behalf of the Carleton Place Kraft Hockeyville Committee; we would like to thank the residents of Carleton Place and those from our neighbouring cities/towns, as well as all international friends for your support during our 2012 bid. Unfortunately; Carleton Place did not advance into the Top 15, but the committee believes the town’s efforts were a success itself. The Committee is incredibly proud of the efforts and support the town brought to the Kraft Hockeyville campaign. The Kraft Dinner luncheon brought in over 450 supporters, the Hockeyville Celebration Dance was well attended by just under 400 people, the Hockey Weekend in Carleton Place saw hundreds of visitors throughout our many events and the Jr A "Fill the Rink" event had over 300 patrons. The community was in full support by creating signs, spreading the word throughout the town and to our neighbouring communities, as well as encouraging those travelling around the word to create their own "Carleton Place is Kraft Hockeyville" signage. Because of your efforts; our campaign was known all over the word, and the Committee is incredibly grateful for that support. Carleton Place will certainly be taking part in Kraft Hockeyville 2013 and we look forward to hosting more events, gaining more support, and making Top 15 in the upcoming year!
